Tales of the Racoon Fink

I'm running 10.2.6-gcc3.3 and I updated descriptions in fink via commander. KDE is still listed as 3.2.1-11. What am I missing? I'm very excited to upgrade as I love KDE and am using it almost exclusively. Hopefully the upgrade will take care of the few remaining issues. You do a great job-thanks

It should be there... it's all checked in. Perhaps it hasn't reached your mirror yet.

Thanks for your great work in porting KDE. I'm having a few problems installing kde 3.2.2 on my iBook (10.2.8, latest updates to gcc/fink). I can compile and install kdelibs ok, but not kdebase. I tried to just compile kdelibs-shlibs, but no joy there, either. Below is the end of the output that I got. Do you have any tips?

What X11 do you have installed?

Apple's X11 Beta 3

I suspect Apple's beta 3 doesn't have the RandR extension, or at least, not in a way that KDE supports.

Truthfully, I'm not sure if there's a fix for your problem. Apple's X11 beta 3 is discontinued and can not legally be downloaded anymore. Since I don't have it, I have no way of trying to put together a fix for you.

OK, thanks anyway. I'll think I'll use XFree instead and see if that fixes it.
